That's it, the sad fact over the Xbox its only exclusive is the Halo series (Halo 1 does not count) as everything else worthy or not ends up being multiplataform.

Another thing is Xbox "great hits" have been far more from western developers (old or new) jumping into the console market that reflects in the quality of games ... Morrowind was a mess, Fable was a mess, KotOR(s) was a mess ... the list goes on because western developers got used to releasing software with bugs as traditional console developers that are most from the pacific (expecialy Japan) region know they cannot patch and the game must work.

PS3 all the way. The Cell chip will be immensely more powerful than 3 P4 processors. For reverse compatibility the XBox360 will only support their major releases, not everything. Support for the PSP as well on the PS3.

Plus the XBox360 is made by Microsoft...so it's gonna be crap just like most everything else they release.

Inde--I agree. Sega was bleeding money. I also don't think Nintendo is going anywhere. My original post was put up because it seemed to me that a previous poster was stating that fact that Nintendo would end up at the top rank because Nintendo was always ahead of the game. I was merely trying to cite Sega as an example that being ahead of the game doesn't necessarily mean quality product.

I still stand behind my Dreamcast, but every other Sega console was crap.

Xbox. Microsoft's foothold in the computer buisness and the satisfaction my xbox has given me has pretty much convinced me.

Revolution is without saying, I love nintendo. Best game developer out there really.

I don't like the playstation. Sony's first party game lineup is a joke. Seriously, nothing but rehash after rehash after rehash of things that were poor and uninspired in the first place.

well im a nintendo guy but the xbox is a rush job this time. I have read many reviews about it ... 90% indicate that the ps3 will be a stronger console this time. I dont know if I belive them or not, I will have to wait and see for myself, but all the articles in my magazines are pro ps3 for some reason. Leaves me undecided but leaning towards the ps3 ... will have to try both.

Yeah PS3. But if i didnt have a comp xbox. All the games well most come out on pc. So ps3 but in the end ill probally get xbox anyway

PS3 cuz that how i started with my PS2. I always supported Sony, for some reason, i can't justify the purchase of xbox 360 with games (each one is 60 dollars) the total cost would be around (system+one controller+3 or 4 games=500 dollars) i got money in my bank but nothing on the xbox 360 launch title seem off the chart or has the wow-factor in it. So i'll stick with PS3 again!

It's been a while since I said it, so it's time to say it again. I'm sticking with PC, all next-gen consoles look pretty rubbish just like the last-gen ones.

100% Agreed. They all look lame.

I think I know why they call it the XBox360- it's cause it's going in cricles.

Nintendo Revolution? Oh yeah, Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Metroid, Donkey Kong over and over and over again.. Thats one heck of a revolution.

Playstation 3? The control looks like a boomerang, so if you try to throw it out it comes right back at ya.

The only thing close to console I'll be using is my PSP. The games are pretty good, espcailly since it's a portable, and it's a pretty good media player. Otherwise, I'm PC ONLY.

I like both consoles and PC's. They both have Pro's and Con's.

Consoles are a one stop for hardware, where as PC's can be upgraded constantly.

Consoles have great joypads that make Analog an easy concept to use for Driving games and Flight games. I like the joyticks on PC's too, as they have some great Force Feedback, but i like the ability to be able to just plug the console in, load the game and play.

PC's are great for FPS games due to the combo of both Keyboard and Mouse usage.

I hate having to rebuild PC's from time to time, sod about with updating drivers just because something isn't working right.

I'm holding off on buying either in the beginning. I have so many games to play at the moment, I wouldn't have time to play either, let alone my PC games.

I do like the multimedia features they are both bringing to the home user. Don't forget, these are not just pointed at the current gaming community. They are looking to expand on the overall market place, bringing a home entertainment system to the mass crowds.

Whether that works or not, only time will tell.

Also, the fact that MS can't decide on a DVD drive for there console, and are not certain about the HD-DVD drive to compete with Sony's Blue Ray drive, gives me another reason to hold on buying the XBOX 360.

I like the look of both consoles, they will fit nicely into my Cinema Setup so I can get full on gaming with true Cinema Quality sound and Fantastic Picture quality.

From what I have seen on both consoles so far, the PS3 has had the better looking videos showing off what there console is capable off, where the quality of the XBOX 360 videos has been a little bit on the poor side. Obviously, if someone has some great video resource websites to look at, that would be good.

As for the Nintendo, yes, from the pictures, it does look cool. However, as we all know, the Nintendo Consoles off late, have had a big problem. They have been targeting the kids too much. Ok, some of the games have been great fun, but as an Adult, I really cannot play kiddy games anymore. They do my head in with the monotony.

I really hope Nintendo get it right this time, or it may be farewell to Nintendo for good.

My last best Nintendo console was the SNES. It had great games, and the fun factor was very high.

However, one big thing, that we all know about. No matter how good these games look and sound, they will seriously need to have Great Content and Storylines to keep people interested.

I'm going to see how things pan out, before i make any serious comments on which one I will be opting for.

I think I'll go with the ps3 for the simple fact that my ps2 has givin me great enjoyment and no problems. I only use it for a few titles though

ok, i have..2 PCs, a snes,megadrive,PSx,N64,PS2,Xbox, Gamecube, GBA, DS and even an old atari lynx that needs putting down, so...

i will buy a revolution when it comes out first, because of the same argument i use for DS or PSP...how many of the games for nintendo will i want compared to the games i want for the other item?

DS...mario, zelda, pokemon, black n white, goemon, castlevania, animal crossing, harvest moon?
PSP...black n white, castlevania.

DS it was, then....not saying i will not get a psp, just that i will get a second hand one much later than the ds.

so...the same goes for the Rev. all the games listed for the DS, i am almost 100% sure will come out on Rev, so i will get a Rev, specialy since i want to hope for a special, *licenced* nintendo DS cart that i can hook up to my Rev and download that back dated content into. i want all 3 harvest moon GBcolor games on one cart ^^

as to x box and ps3...i will get them later, like i got them this time
i mean, i got x-box specifically to play morrowind on, as my pc at the time used to fall over whenever i tried to play it

i got ps2 for final fantasy 10 and 10-2 and for some of the other rpg games.
and i got my gamecube for zelda, harvest moon and animal crossing, along with picmin

oh, and one thing to think of....nintendo hasnt suffered because that made the games for kiddies, its because we, as grown ups here in the UK and US, seem to beleave that a game cant be cute and for grown ups at the same time...

adult game = Big fecking guns+ copious swearing+ getting *ahemed* by lovely ladies or staring at them
kiddies game = Cute graphics+ storyline - big fecking gun-groupies-any mension of *aheming anything*

anyone remember Conker? back on the GBcolor, he was cute, furry and had a slingshot/catapult.
on the N64, he got to 21, got drunk, got other things and leared to swear like a sewer
now, he has moved to the x-box. he is harder to play, he swears even more, and some things that were only hinted at (specifially, the ticklish sunflower and the king bumble bee) have gone way too far, but i guess thats what you expect on the x-box, right? after all, its supposed to be for Blokes, isnt it :P like the Cube is for us Girlys
